Marcus Armstrong to remain with Chip Ganassi Racing

Marcus Armstrong and Chip Ganassi Racing have inked a multi-year extension for their NTT IndyCar Series partnership.

The Kiwi will contest the full 2024 calendar in the No. 11 Honda after splitting the 2023 season with Takuma Sato racing the ovals. Armstrong has logged three top eight finishes in his 11 starts this season; which has propelled him to the top of the rookie standings heading in the the finale at Laguna Seca this season.

“I am very proud and excited to continue with Chip Ganassi Racing for next year and beyond,” said Armstrong. “Together with this very talented and experienced team, I am confident we can compete at the highest level in this championship. I feel very grateful that Chip has given me the time to adapt to INDYCAR and has helped me every step of the way in what has been a good season.”

He will make his oval debut on September 13 when he will test at Texas Motor Speedway.
